Michael has spent the past 35 years tirelessly fighting for the rights of his clients and for justice in our nation’s courtrooms, hearing rooms, and boardrooms. A deft trial attorney, Michael has successfully tried over 35 cases and delivered over $100 million in judgments, verdicts, or awards.

As a former Global Head of Litigation and Deputy General Counsel at a major global financial institution, Michael was responsible for all litigated legal and employment matters for dozens of public companies around the world, managing an in-house team of more than 40 lawyers and managing the work of global outside law firms. Michael also has experience in a wide range of matters, with a special emphasis on employment matters and those arising in the financial services industry. He continues his varied practice by providing general counsel, employment, and litigation strategy, and employment advice for high stakes or “bet the company” matters to corporate clients, financial services firms, including hedge funds and private equity funds, as well as high net worth individuals and family offices.

Michael is regularly selected as a Super Lawyer, Best Lawyer, Most Effective Lawyer, and brought in as co-counsel by his peers. He is also a widely followed legal analyst, co-founding the top-rated Legal AF podcast and YouTube channel in collaboration with the Meidas Touch Network, where his legal analysis has been viewed or downloaded 1 billion times.

Michael graduated from Duke University School of Law and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of New York University.
