Internal Investigations

In addition to decades of experience conducting investigations—both as prosecutors and as private-sector attorneys conducting internal investigations—our attorneys have extensive experience and success representing clients who are the subject of government investigations, including matters before the DOJ, SEC, FINRA, FRB, and NYDFS. Founding partner E. Danya Perry is one of New York City’s foremost litigators in both civil and criminal cases. She previously served as a federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York, New York State Deputy Attorney General, and Chief of Investigations for the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption. Ms. Perry’s consummate skill in internal investigative matters earned her recognition in the prestigious Chambers USA 2023 White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations rankings. Following up on this success, Perry Law as a whole has earned a ranking in the same category for Chambers’ 2024 publication, the details of which are forthcoming.

Our team blends the agility and client-forward thinking of a boutique firm with a decades-long track record of success in criminal and civil litigation matters. With deep experience in federal and state government, private practice, and academia, we are well equipped to represent companies and individuals in high-stakes government and internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, criminal matters, civil litigation, and appeals. Eschewing a “one-size-fits-all” approach, the firm develops highly tailored strategies and investigative techniques on behalf of its clients to deliver proactive solutions. Our breadth of experience and innovative thinking allows our lean teams to go toe-to-toe with New York’s biggest law firms, while at the same time prioritizing results instead of revenue and producing better outcomes with fewer unnecessary costs.
